Sparkler App

Dear Families,

Sparkler is an evidence-based, mobile platform, available in English and Spanish, which is working with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood to help fuel healthy early childhood development. Our program is now using Sparkler to connect with parents and caregivers and support children’s healthy early growth and development.

 Sparkler offers:

  1. Tools to monitor children’s social-emotional, cognitive, communication, and physical development, including the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®.
  2. Play activities and tips for parents, designed by early childhood educators, which help parents and caregivers support children’s early learning by developing their skills and sparking their passions.
  3. Messaging tools to give parents/caregivers advice and support.

The app is free and simple to use — you can even use it offline if that is better for you. You can download the app from the Google Play Store if you have an Android smartphone or tablet or from the Apple App Store if you use an iPhone or iPad.

The first step of the registration process will ask you for an “access code.” Our code is SteppingStones Please enter this code. It will allow you to link up with our school/program so we can connect with you and support you.

If you have any questions about this program, please email us at mpollock@westportps.org . If you have technical questions about Sparkler, please email support@playsparkler.org.

Sincerely,

Megan Clarke

Director

Perez—husband of our paraeducator, Emily Perez—kindly shared a photo with us, reminding us how meaningful these messages of gratitude and support truly are.
